The Fundació COAC opens a new call for local and international cooperation grants
The Fundació COAC has opened the call for applications for grants for local and international development cooperation projects related to architecture and urbanism.
Associations, NGOs, foundations and other not-for-profit entities working in the field of international and/or local development cooperation may apply for these grants, provided they have architects among their collaborators, whether as employees, volunteers or under a professional services contract.
Areas and types of grants
The call covers two main areas of grants:
– International cooperation: projects focused on the development of communities in developing countries, where poverty is most concentrated, and/or communities affected by natural disasters or conflicts.
– Local cooperation: projects focused on the development of populations living in conditions of vulnerability or social risk in areas within the developed world.
Within both areas, five types of grants are envisaged:
a) Construction or renovation of housing
b) Construction or renovation of community facilities (health, education, etc.)
c) Construction or renovation of neighbourhood-level infrastructure
d) Construction or renovation of public spaces
e) Urban planning
The maximum amount with which each project submitted under the call may be funded is €15,000, and the minimum is €5,000, for both international and local projects.
Applications will remain open until 9 February at 1pm.
